We are Strong4Life! And a SLIDESHOW!

Atlanta Event Photography gets to be a part of some very worthwhile causes and this one is right up there with the best! 

Strong4Life is a statewide campaign through Children's Healthcare Of Atlanta. The initiative includes the largest public awareness campaign on childhood obesity and wellness to ever hit Georgia, along with programs, partnerships and clinical intervention to help and support kids when and where they need it. Strong4Life brings together four essential building blocks every kid needs to be healthy: Eat Right, Be Active, Get Support and Have Fun.

Children who are overweight are now suffering from diseases once seen only in adults such as heart disease, hypertension, liver and kidney disease and type 2 diabetes.  This program helps families take small steps toward a healthier life. These small steps can add up to big changes.  Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and its guiding team of pediatric physicians, nutritionists and other specialists developed Strong4Life. 

To kick off the Strong4Life initiative in Macon, Community Health Works and Children’s hosted Strong4Life Unplugged, a free event promoting healthy and active lifestyles as part of the region-wide Central Georgia Unplugged initiative to promote more activity and less screen time.
